My partner and I just stayed at the White house inn in Napa, and our experience was, romantic, luxurious and overall wonderful. I felt like Michelle Obama walking around in this property. it has an amazing atmosphere of luxury and details. We booked a "Romantic getaway" package and the attention to detail was outstanding. We got massages at the little cottage by the pool, and sipped wine at the ball room/dinning area. I definitely want to come back in the summer time because I want to use the pool and just hang out in the sunny beautiful gardens.
Kim the inn keeper gets out of her way to help you plan your stay and to give you tips of what to do, see and where to eat. She was very helpful. An overall great experience. We will stay here again in our next trip to Napa.

Room Tip: We stayed on one of the rooms near the front and we found it to be amazingly spacious and with an amazing tube for two.

My boyfriend and I just returned from our stay at the White House Inn. We absolutely LOVED it! It has all the charm and historical feel that a typical B and B has, but still feels like a luxury hotel with modern amenities. The location is great, just a few blocks (about 5 min walk or less) to downtown. The grounds are very well kept and it even has a pool and a hot tub (it was too cold out, but seems like a great idea for summer). The inside is beautiful with crystal chandeliers and wood detailing. Kim and Zach were very helpful. He helped carry our bags up to the 3rd floor (one drawback of a historical home is no elevator) and explained all the details we would need for our stay. Kim checked to see if we needed dinner reservations and even drove us the few blocks to dinner! The room was very spacious with a king size bed and a jacuzzi tub! The only disappointment we had was that the fireplace in the room did not work. The A/C unit provided plenty of heat, however. Our favorite part was probably the "social" they had at 6pm which provided light snacks and wine tastings from the area for all guests. The breakfast was delicious too! Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer! We've already decided that next time we visit, we won't stay anywhere else!

Room Tip: We stayed in #17. It's on the 3rd floor in the back, so seemed very private. Very spacious.

This B&B has a lot going for it. We originally questioned the short time that it has been on trip advisor for being such an old bed and breakfast ... reason = new ownership. Our room was well appointed and quite large, comfortable bed and clean. We booked late and were unable to get the room we wanted which was one with a balcony. Our room was 1 which was located at the entrance to the hotel which led to some noise from incoming guests ... if this is a concern for you I would inquire prior to booking. Kim's cookies lived up to the hype = Fantastic and the breakfast was a feast including a large assortment of fruit, bacon, omelettes, juices, yogurt .... Another great perk was a wine tasting that they have between 6-7 which is accompanied by cheese, crackers and an assortment of dips. Finally the location was fantastic as it was located a few blocks away from downtown with many great restaurants.

Gerry B.,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at our Inn, with potential future guests. We were so happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay and especially that my cookies lived up to the "hype" :-) I am finding that after so many mentions in reviews, they are certainly something that guests look forward to when staying with us!

Thank you again, for taking the time to share ~ very much appreciated!

If you've never been to Napa valley and want to experience a B&B like no other, the White House Inn & Spa is the perfect get-away. It is truely a beautiful home that is clean, spacious, and well maintained. The grounds looked like all the shrubs and flowers were just planted for our visit. Although it was a little too cool to swim, the beautiful pool and hot tub was quite inviting.
The accommodations were truly satisfying, but what really made our stay complete, were the inn keepers. Kim and her assistant Zach made us feel at home from the moment we walked through the front door. I promised to not mention Kim's mouth-watering lemon cookies that welcomed you every evening from your daily excursions, but sorry, I couldn't resist.
Being from Louisiana and never have visited the Napa area before, Kim assisted us in all our daily adventures, from wine tours to reservations to fine dining. These personal touches are the things that stand above the typical hotel chains. We are looking forward to our next visit to Napa Valley. Although we may not know what wineries we'll visit, we definitely know where we'll stay.

This wonderful inn/b&b has it all: a perfect location for walking into Napa's downtown; fresh, uncluttered, contemporary rooms; lovely grounds complete with pool and hot tub; generous, well-prepared breakfasts and evening hors d'oeuvres with wine; efficient help with planning/getting to local events. But, what truly made our experience outstanding was the service. Kim, the innkeeper, and her assistants go well above and beyond the call of duty to accommodate their guests. We stayed at the White House on an anniversary trip to Northern California. She, upon a request from our relative back home, arranged for a beautiful cake and a bottle of champagne to greet us upon our arrival. What a lovely surprise. Kim could not have been more gracious, giving and kind.

Room Tip: Be aware that some rooms are on the third floor....with no elevator.
