The service and the food was so unbelievable!!!!!!! My friend (who I had invited for Christmas) was so impressed! AND...there was plenty of food, portions were generous as well as 5 star!!!! The beauty and elegance of the wine train was unsurpassed! I have been on the train since it started running and have never been disappointed whether it was a lunch or dinner run!!!

Don't miss this unique Napa Valley experience!!

The Napa Wine Train was a great way to see the Napa Valley and do some wine tasting. Lunch was served pretty much right away when we boarded the train and there were a few different options of starters and mains. Dessert was served after the wine tour and on the way back to the station. Our tour went to one winery (Grgich Hills). The winery tour was pretty good and we got to keep our wine glasses at the end of the tour which was a nice keepsake!

We had the pleasure of taking the evening train. Even though we could not see the country, the main attraction was the food, the service and the train itself. The food was superb! The quality of the cuisine surpassed our expectations. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. On the tour of the train, you get to see the food preparation as you move through the various cars. None of the staff seemed in the least bothered that folks were milling about in their way. A fun feature was watching the engine switch to the rear of the train for the return trip.

You get a gourmet meal on the train with dessert and a small complimentary glass of their house wine. The tasting is in addition if you only get the "gourmet meal" package. We did the military special and that's what you get. Its a good novel idea, but in hindsight I would have looked into some of the other packages.

Went with my sister and brother-in-law plus my nephew and his wife and we all had a fabulous time. Train station beautifully decorated for Christmas. I am highly allergic to eggs and I could overhear them keeping track of any food that they served me. Food was cooked on the train and was just delicious. Staff highly professional and friendly. Train trip slow and comfortable, so peaceful just watching the vineyards go by.
