My family with young children and our dog stayed here during our road trip. The inn was the perfect accomodations for our family. The owner,Matt, couldn't have made us feel more welcome!!! We also loved the historical aspect of the inn as an old stagecoach stop.
We would love to return.
Thanks Matt!

Cozy and intimate little inn with a great location in the Avenue of the Giants which makes it an excellent starting point for your nature or romantic escapade. The best customer service is in that your intimacy is respected but at the same time the Manager will tend to your inquiries and cook an fresh breakfast for you in the morning. During your day there will be a lot of attractions and trails to explore and if your are lucky after a day full of excitement and fun, there will be grilled burgers being prepare at the General Store across the street, best burger I have had in a while (just make sure you are really hungry before asking double everything). If you love nature, you will not be disappointed with the spectacular scenic view from the balcony of the Inn - such splendor!!! I don't care if the place is not the most modern facility, it has an abundance of everything we were looking for, fun activities during the day and the most beautiful and peaceful night.

Room Tip: Top floor rooms offer a great view from the balcony

My husband and I are not usually social people on vacation so we have never stayed at a B & B. we tried the Myers Inn and were pleasantly surprised. It was cozy, comfortable and good for our whole family. They were very accommodating and went out of their way to make us feel at home. We stayed in a lot of hotels, and my kids said they liked this place the best.

Room Tip: Great atmosphere

We arrived in the evening and found a very clean room, with two brass beds and antique quilts.
The next morning, we were served a hot breakfast consisting of bacon, eggs, french toast, and fruit. It was delicious.
The staff exceeds anything I could have imagined, as they are warm, engaging, and extremely helpful. We had our two dogs with us, and there is a side yard area to walk them.
The only issue is the price, which was $220 for one night. Still, for one night, it was a welcome relief to have a safe, welcoming environment to rest in.

Four friends and I just returned from a trip to see the Redwoods. I, as well as my friends, are thrilled with our stay at Myers Country Inn. Staying at a BB was the perfect option for the type of trip we were taking and Myers did not disappoint. Cleanliness, comfortable beds and safety are most important to me, which are the main reasons for my rating but not the only reasons. The owner, his children, Mr. Kitty and Jade, the chocolate lab, were very friendly and sweet. The owner and his father were accomodating and helpful; whether it was recommending which areas of the park was the best to see or where to eat in Eureka or surrounding area. The Inn is in the perfect spot for checking out the surrounding towns like Miranda or Redway, catching a beach/ocean in Shelter Cove or Ferndale or driving up to Eureka for seafood or exploring the Redwoods, as it is conveniently located just off the 101and minutes and in the heart of the Redwoods. It is minutes from the visitors center of Humbodlt Redwoods State Park and you can enjoy the beautiful drive north and south on the Avenue of the Giants. Good value for the price. I will stay again and recommend it to others.

We enjoyed our stay at the border of the humbold state forest. But best of all was our friendly host and his kids. Just great and helpful people. Recommended!

Really the best reason to stay here is convenience of the location, just off Hwy 101 and right on the Avenue of the Giants, a short drive from the Humboldt Redwoods Visitor Center. No other Hotel/B&B is closer than half an hour away. Owners are a friendly young family with small children. While the rooms are pricey they are comfortable enough if you don't plan on spending your whole day in the hotel, (and really, why would you, with the Redwoods a half a mile away?) If you're lucky enough to have a clear night (we were) the views of the stars are incredible for anyone who is used to city living. I'd forgotten how full of stars the night sky can be.. Breakfast was nothing special but filling enough to get you going for a day in the woods, and there's a very good but pricey restaurant (the Groves) right across the street. If you're looking to pinch pennies don't stay here but if you have a few extra $$ to spend it can provide a very pleasant evening or two while you're soaking in the natural wonders of the Humboldt Redwoods Park, and as a bonus for cat lovers missing their furry ones, a very friendly kitty who will join you in your room for a spell if you let him.
