“Murrieta, the most boring place on earth”

Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve
Ranked #1 of 22 things to do in Murrieta

Reviewed December 28, 2013

The city of Murrieta is the most boring place on earth, regardless of the restaurants, the one bar, and the so call atractions like this one, the tripp is not worth it, unless you are a Christian family and want to race your kids on a puritan city this is the place to live.
If you want nature go to, point lobos in Monterrey, or the beach at san diego, this is just a bunch of acres with nothing attractive.

The plateau has a lot of nice trails. It's great for an afternoon walk with your family. It's a beautiful area. Many people have taken wedding pics here.

If you love the outdoors and hiking you will live this place. I've seen bob cats, coyotes, rabbits, snakes and tarantulas!

I'm fortunate to live within minutes of the Reserve. I'm a member and hike there often. Any time of the year is great but when the flowers are out in the spring, it becomes a magical place.

If you enjoy walking in natural surroundings, this is the place to enjoy yourself. Wonderful trails, beautiful scenery, and a place to get some good physical exercise. When the weather is right, there's no place better to visit in this area. You won't be disappointed. There's good parking and you can even take your dog with you on your hike....that is, if you have a dog and wish to do so!
