This is the kind of restaurant you would expect to find in an old historic hotel. Walls are river rock and plaster. Menu is typical american style. We have had both breakfast and lunch here many times. Breakfast has an unbelievable bargain Murphys Breakfast provides 2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon, 2 sausage links, hash browns and toast for $5.95! There is also a wide variety of Omelets, Scrambles and Pancakes. Lunch is primarily sandwiches but there is usually a full plate special as well. You get your choice of homemade soup, a small dinner salad or french fies. The BLT has 3 strips of thick bacon and the tomatoes are fresh from local farmers. My wife's favorite is the Rueben. There is always so much meat on it that she has to take half the sandwich home. The service is usually quite fast and professional. Exceptions I have had are when there is a large group in the banquet room. For a good meal at very resonable prices, highly recommend tis restaurant.

We had lunch and everything was good. Everyone around us was happy. Menu is perfect to soak up all the wine. So stop by.

The bar in the Hotel is an old hangout for me from my youth. However, every time we are in the area it is a Must stop for us. The Hotel is what it is, a great bit of gold country history with cocktails, atmosphere and lots of great memories, I love this place.

OK it was high priced, 34 bucks for dinner + wine and tip, expectations were as high as the price
but they just didn't match up. The meal was ok but it should have been great.
Prime rib was pretty fatty and a bit of the tough side, the salmon was over cooked.
It's an interesting place with great history and a great bar but I don't think we would return for a holiday meal.
