Highly recommended, friendly staff, nice rooms, very pleasant atmosphere. Will definitely go back there on future trips.
I'm the 3rd or 4rth person from my company to stay there and we keep on recommending it to one another and are always pleased with the place.

Room Tip: Try and get the rooms with the outdoor terrace, very relaxing with the running water in the fountain...

The price is average, the rooms are a little nicer than average (lots of power outlets), the staff are quite a bit more efficient and intelligent than average.

The big upside is the location. Blast up or down highway 85 and you’re there. Hint: If you're heading south, as in from 101, take the El Camino (82) SOUTH exit, and do 3 corners: cross 85, get back on it going north again, get off instantly and you you’re on El Camino north RIGHT AT the Zico entrance.

The big downside is the location. If you require absolute quiet to sleep, don’t stay here, because there’s lots of noise from 85. The side of the hotel away from the highway is probably better.

I visit the area often for work and nearly always stay at Zico, just convenient.

This is an odd hotel. It has clearly been a lower rung hotel whose current owner spiffed it up with modern touches in the small bath, funky color schemes, and updated rooms. Breakfast is in a spartan room but they do have cooked to order eggs and omelets, and no plastic ware - yea! Limited interactions with staff were friendly. Could definitely hear people tromping around in the room above and TVs etc from adjacent rooms. Seemed a decent deal for being where it is.

Aside from having to do some crazy 3-exit ramp debacle to finally be on the right side of the road - Hotel Zico sits basically on the intersection of rt 85 & 82. There is a decent amount of traffic noise however the plants and fountains mask the sounds. Parking is convenient with an underground garage. Once inside Hotel Zico - the lobby is small with a couple choices of cold refreshments for sale. Check-in process was efficient. I stayed for 6 nights on the first floor (room 118). It was on the backside of the hotel - so traffic noise was not an issue for me. The room was standard, yet decorated nicely. The bathroom was a deep ocean blue with a modern glass-bowl sink. Visually - the bedroom was awesome! I must note; however, the bed was very hard and the water pressure in the shower was awful. The walls are also very thin - as I heard a lot of noises coming from both the rooms on both sides. That did bring some negatives to my overall opinion. The breakfast in the mornings were so-so... not a lot of choices other than the omlette bar or cereal.

My coworkers who also stayed here as well, seemed to have a better experience and were happy with their stay. We held a meeting in the 2nd floor lounge on Friday morning and it worked out perfectly. Our company sends a team of 6 people up to the Valley four times a year and we are definitely looking at making Hotel Zico one of our top lodging choices!

Room Tip: If traffic noise will bother you - be sure to ask for a room on the backside of the hotel.

This is an older facility that has been lovingly renovated in a contemporary Mediterranean style. The concept works well. The rooms are clean and comfortable and have a unique look that we liked. There was a microwave and small fridge in the room. The lobby and entrance are very chic, and there is a common room upstairs that can be used to entertain visitors, which we did. The breakfasts were good, if a little repetitious day after day. Bacon, eggs, homefries, pancakes, cold cereal, instant oatmeal, juice, coffee, tea. The omelet station was a big hit, and the woman who made the omelets is delightful. In fact, the entire staff was very pleasant and helpful. Several local newspapers are put out daily, and there are some snacks for purchase in the lobby.

The hotel is right next to a hiway, but our room faced the opposite direction, and noise was not an issue at all, although I could see where it might be in a different room. There are power lines that run right through the property; not the most attractive feature, but not really a problem either. We enjoyed our stay, and would stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the hiway.

First let me say that this is a nicely designed, pleasant, reasonably-priced small hotel tucked alongside US 85 and 82 off El Camino Real in Mountain View. I would have reviewed it positively if they had let me sleep. But in the afternoon, while I had the Do Not Disturb sign on my door so I could take a nap, the front desk called to say "Housekeeping would like to bring in the pillowcases for your bed but we see there's a Do Not Disturb sign on your door. Is it all right if they drop them off? Yes, the phone ringing was every bit as sleep destroying as a knock on the door would have been. When I complained, I was told that this was actually house policy. Not a mistake for which they are apologetic, but policy of the house. What's sort of funny is the DND sign says "Shh. I'm trying to get some ZZZ's" which is precisely what I was trying to do and precisely what the policy fails to allow. I can understand that there are times when people go off and leave the DND sign on their doors and something needs to happen in those situations, but I have to believe there's a better policy than the one that destroyed what for me at the time was a precious opportunity to make up for some sleep deprivation.

First of all, thank you for taking the time to review us. I am extremely sorry for your experience regarding being disturbed during your sleep, despite the Do Not Disturb sign being up. Due to your experience, we are re-training all employees on our DND policy - which simply is to not disturb anyone who has the sign up! Again, thanks for your valuable feedback and we are so very sorry you had this uncharacteristically unpleasant experience at Hotel Zico.
