We celebrated an anniversary here and we are glad that we chose Chez TJ. We opted for the abberviated menu with the wine pairing. Each dish was beautifully prepared, the earth and sea amuse was delicious, seabass was perfect and my boyfriend loved the duck (even though he says he is not a fan of duck). The wine pairing was worth it. They even brought us an extra plate of treats with "bonne anniversaire" written in chocolate. Nice touch!

We waited a couple of years for the right occasion and companions to try Chez TJ. The beautiful setting (almost like having dinner in someone's beautiful private dining room) was somewhat offset by a loud party of six diners across the room from us.

The food is artistry. Tiny bites of perfectly delicious vegetables, seafood, meats in delicate sauces. Lots of little extra surprises between the courses. I think our favorite part was experiencing the wine pairings; they serve a wine which is specially selected to go with each course. We were happily tipsy having sampled six different wines by the end of the meal.

We chose the "abbreviated menu" ($85/person, vs. $140/person for the chef's menu), the wine pairings were extra. The abbreviated menu was more than enough food for us. The menu changes frequently.

If you have an expense account and price is no object, this is a wonderful place to experience. For regular folk, it's a bit of sticker shock, but the food and wine are very special.

Located in a "home" on a side street in Mountainview this restaurnant surprises.
The food is elegant...layers of taste...and much like Healdsburg's Dry Creek Kitchen, the portions are small enough to enjoy and run through 4-8 without feeling stuffed.
A great palce for a special meal...not for a casual stop by...to pricey for that

I don't understand how some of the restaurants get their Michelin stars. The food was awful. Some dishes were so bad that I couldn't eat them. The wine pairing was really bad. I don't think they know their wine at all. Some wine not only didn't add anything to the dish, it made the dish taste really bad.

Service was extremely slow, snobby and unfriendly. For the price, there are many other Michelin restaurants that will give you a much better experience. Many non-Minchelin-starred restaurants can give you a better dining experience than Chez TJ.

I've been here twice, giving it another chance but the 2nd time was worse than the first time.

I will not return again.

Just had a four-course dinner with an added amuse bouche and palate cleanser. Absolutely delicious. Portions are very small, but each bite is exquisite, and by the end of 4+ courses, one doesn't walk away hungry. Service was a little slow, but we were a larger group.
