The area is booming with intelligent young talented engineers. Singularity puts out the motivated rocket scientists of today.

Small but very interesting visitor center.
Very nice and helpfull personal who really wants to make you share the utmost of the exhibit.
Artifacts and exhibits ranging from the early space flight to the actual mars rover adventure.
If you are a flight addict then you should couple your visit with teh Moffett Field Historical Society Museum which is right next door. Beware it'open only wednesday to sunday. http://www.moffettfieldmuseum.org

The Ames Research Center will appeal to visitors looking for an educational experience. There are some interesting displays, interactive exhibits and lots of memorabilia. It is a small center and you can probably see everything in 30-45 minutes, but it is worth the trip for older children and adults.

I've been a space junkie for all of my life, so getting to visit Moffett Field and NASA AMES was quite a treat. The free AMES museum is smal but has some interesting exhibits in it, but if you wander around AMES and the field, you will also find the Moffett Field Historical Museum which had lots of exhibits on the various uses the field has had over the years (including the enormous zepplins!)

This was a great two-for-one trip and well worth the time and small cost of admission to the latter. If you go on the right day, you can also head out near the hangars and watch people fire off model rockets!

Current exhibits of space exploration. This place is worth visiting at least once a year.
