The Sugarloaf was closed for a while, but it's got a new owner (Tom Costello), a new menu, and they've given the place a full makeover.
We stopped in on a recent Sunday and we were delighted by what we found. I ordered a burger and it was one of the best I've ever had, hands down! The ingredients were fresh and the burger was cooked to perfection--nice and juicy and fresh. My accomplice had a house salad, and it was fresh, crispy, and the lettuce wasn't wet like so many places.
The atmosphere was that of a little roadhouse--casual but with memorable food that you'd find in any *good* restaurant. The service was great--always attentive and pleasant.
We went there on the recommendation of a friend who had their Friday night prime rib special--who said it was the best she'd ever had.
I would recommend this to anyone who wants really good food at a reasonable price.
We'll go back very soon!
