Since we stayed at this hotel a year ago they have updated the TV's to 42" flat screens, an upgrade we made a point of suggesting in our review last year. We had a much nicer room this time and the bed was very comfortable with warmer bedding. Unfortunately the heater/AC was still noisy and we had to get up in the night to unplug it as it was keeping us awake. The lobby and restaurant/breakfast room were being renovated so we decided not to have dinner in the restaurant. Breakfast was very good but in a temporary location and not everything was out so we had to wait to be served which was time consuming. There was a power outage just after we checked in around 6 PM and the internet went down as well. The power was restored almost immediately but the internet didn't come back up until almost 10 PM which was a major inconvenience. For these reasons we can't give top scores for our stay but overall we would probably stay here again and would recommend the property to others, especially if they fix the noisy heater problem. It's a very convenient location when travelling I-5 and also for nearby recreational areas.

Room Tip: There's no elevator so a room on the ground floor is much more convenient, especially if you hav...

There were 4 of us traveling to Bend, Oregon and this town was a good stopping point from the San Francisco area to get just over 1/2 way. The room rates were reasonable, the rooms clean with lots of soft pillows and the restaurant stayed open long enough for a quick dessert stop after dinner out in town ;-)

They are going through updating the carpeting in the entire hotel but it looks like they aren't opening the rooms up on whichever floor they are working on. Just be sure to ask when you call or check in.

Room Tip: If you plan on using the pool a lot, just ask for a room nearby. I don't really think there are...

This is our traditiional stay on our way to California. Front desk staff are always very accomodating. Rooms are spacious and clean with amentities such as a fridge. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was above average. As the dining room and entry were undergoing renovation, did not have dinner but the menu looked good. Easy on/off the freeway with downtown several easy blocks away.

It was 2 am and I was dragging. I got off the Hwy inn Mt Shasta and the first place I hit was this little gem. Asked for a closet to sleep in if that was all they had. No the night clerk gave me a very nice room at a good price and breakfast. It enjoyed going to an establishment that doesn't gouge you as a last minute patron.

We stayed here for one night to break up our drive home from Portland and enjoyed our stay. With 2 tired and cranky kids and a dog itching to move around, by the time we checked in, we were more than happy to have a comfy room with enough space for all of us. Check in was smooth, we headed straight to our room to get settled for the night, and were well taken care of for breakfast the next morning. The staff was friendly and helpful. I wish we could have stayed longer. We'll definitely head back here for another stop over (or perhaps a longer visit) the next time we are driving up to Oregon or returning back to California.

Just spent 3nts here with other family members - had King Bedded Mt Shasta view rooms although mother nature did her best to prevent us from seeing t he mountain.Checking other rroms through open doorways it appeared the rooms with 2 beds were more spacious Bed was comfortable pillows weren't and need to be replaced. Biggest complaint with room was insufficient lighting - these rooms have a lot of wood panelling which makes them darker than normal..Hotel facilities were good, pool and hot tub. Breakfast buffet while extensive hot items were always at best warm - they do have a novel interpretation of eggs florentine. Tried to make a local call from the lobby and although there are 2 computers and printers available for complimentary use there is no phone - you need to go back to your room.
All staff extremely friendly. Note if you don't like carryng baggage upstairs do not ask for Mtn View rooms which are on 1t floor no elevator.

For a reasonble price, you get awesome views, good service and what was hands-down the best pool/spa combo of all the similarly priced hotels I stayed in on a recent trip. No seriously, their pool and spa rocked my crippled (I have a back injury and water is a good thing) world well above and beyond that of 4 others I sampled in the same trip.

Anyhow, the staff here are extremely accomodating and sweet. The continental breakfast is average. The grounds are pretty nice for a Best Western. The view is great. The only real negative is that the walls are PAPER THIN (eew) and the interior decor of the rooms is pretty utilitarian. Overall, I would come back.
