“Friendly folks”

Aas other reviewers say, this is a very pretty and friendly place which compensates for the ok food.
My citrus salad had canned oranges in it. In California! And the warm bread was a mass produced sponge that was rescued somewhat by being served with real butter.
The staff make the place and both Kelly and her young assistant were delightful and attentive

“Farewell Mt Shasta”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 19, 2013

Had a fareweel dinner here with Mt Shasta locals. Restaurant was basically empty with our small party being the only ones after 7.30pm. Staff extremeley friendly and attentive although was suprised that the difference between Soda Water and Tonic water wasn't known hence the G&T was a G&S but happily corrected. Food was enjoyable although a request for one of the 'specials' was taken then reported as being sold out. With only 3 specials I would have thought it would have been easy to remember if one wasn't availlable. Serving sizes as normal for USA were excessive and take away boxes happily supplied for those that wanted them. All in all an enjoyable time - both with quality of food and friendliness of staff.

“Lovely place, disappointing food”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 4, 2013

Lovely on the outside but disappointing food. Clean. Nice tablecloths. Attentive staff. Merely adequate food. Chicken burrito was missing chicken and generally tasted industrial. Nothing special. Beans and rice were warm, not hot. Not worth the money. Eggplant hoagie lacked flavor. Bland. Disappointing. Not worth the money. Perhaps we stopped in on a bad day?

“Always, it's lovely at Lily's”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 19, 2013

Location (can sit outside comfortably); service (always friendly and efficient); food (consistently great and worthy of being a destination, not just an eating place) Have nothing negative, only superlatives to share with you.

“Good Meal - But Slightly Overpriced”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 18, 2013

Nicely prepared food, but seemed overpriced. I ordered a ribeye steak, and I am fairly sure it was not a ribeye, but a filet. It was very very thin, and super lean. It was the most expensive steak on the menu, and sadly was not worth it. The wines were also overpriced. The restaurant had been recommended, and it was a celebration dinner, so it was quiet, candle-lit, and a nice (elderly) clientele, but don't go in expecting a 5 star meal. I am giving it 4 stars because they were able to accommodate a gluten allergy without any problems.
