We came here with a party of four and had excellent service. We ordered different burgers and enchilada which were fantastic. The atmosphere was great and everyone was friendly. We will definitely be back!

Arrived there on a Thursday at 5:30 pm for an early dinner. Half the booths were filled, though the bar was almost empty, as were the informal tables in the "lounge" areas where the big screen televisions were showing NFL football games (the sound was turned off). The bar also had sports on smaller televisions, again without sound. Stella Artois on tap for only $3.75, but perhaps it was happy hour; the glass was chilled and the beer ice cold. I had a bowl of lobster bisque for $6.95, and it was good. The $12.95 special of the evening got me the chicken teriyaki over white rice including fried spring rolls, and it also very good and filling.
The atmosphere is warm and comfortably informal. This is the off season and the patrons all seemed like locals. However, the waiter's service was impeccable, his demeanor friendly and appreciative for the business. Would go back, for sure.

This is the best of local atmosphere in Mt. Shasta. Locals are greeted with hugs and big hellos, while strangers are treated with friendly smiles and very good service. The food is very good, with the Lobster Bisque living up to its reputation. We will definitely return to the Wayside Inn next time in town.

A popular place and we can understand why. Good ambience, excellent choice of food, friendly and efficient service and a nice choice of beers and wine. I wanted something light so just ordered a starter which was huge so make sure you are hungry if you come here!

Can't fault this place in any way and although we didn't eat anywhere else in Mt Shasta I expect this restaurant is the best.
