“Great atmosphere! Great food!”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

Whether you are in the mood for a delicious prime rib dinner, cooked to your request, or a fire-baked pizza, give them a try, you will not be disappointed. The owners are on staff, and very friendly. They have a nice woodburning stove, and oh, yeah, great entertainment. Check it out!

“Out of the way but almost worth it!”
Reviewed February 1, 2013

Good service. Decent fare for the fare. If you can find this place, you might like it. Huge improvement over previous ownership. Potential to be even better.

“Most popular restaurant in town”
Reviewed November 9, 2012

Admittedly, Mount Shasta is a small town, but if you're here, check them out. They have a brink oven for pizzas, numerous beers on tap, and many weekends, live musics. We like the pesto artichoke pizza, and if you haven't already tried it elsewhere, get the tangerine wheat beer from lost coast brewery. If it's summer time, call for reservations or go early, and if the weather is nice, sit on the deck.

“Wayside is Great”
Reviewed October 12, 2012

Terry and Denise are great hosts and their food is always good to great. Try the lobster bisque and Cajun ribs. Also the best bar in town. They often have great music, Terry and Denise included. Our family is going again tomorrow night. We will continue eating here as long as their food does not degrade, priced somewhat high for this rural area.

“Pretty on the porch”
Reviewed October 6, 2012

Very pretty setting. Food was ok. Don't get the BBQ if from the south, just is not what we are used to. Nice staff
