“Great staff and a lot of sea animals”
Review of Kayak Connection

They are the best. Gears, brief orientation and lesson all included. $55 a double for half a day. Tons of seals, sea lions and sea otters. Going back was a little tough since we were against the current. But my 10 year old daughter and myself had no trouble, just a little longer. Bring camera. Didn't get too wet with a nice bib wrapped around.

We rented 4 double kayaks on April 8, 2012. We were a group of 4 adults and 4 kids. We had a great time and a good work out. We were tricked (as we were warned about) into thinking "easy peasy" on our way out on Elkhorn Slough. Sure, easy going out--not so much coming back when the wind kicked up and the current was against us. Realize though that the adults were doing much of the work--our kids weren't always paddling 100%.

We saw sea otters, seals, and many different birds. The staff at Kayak Connection were helpful and had a great attitude in making sure we had a fun experience.

My fiance and I took a doubles kayak from Kayak Connection down the Elkhorn Slough estuary over Thanksgiving weekend. We had a beautiful time and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The wildlife comes right up to your kayak - particularly the sea lions, who will surprise you when they pop their heads up. It's best to call ahead so that you can plan for the tides. We were advised to come early so that we wouldn't be struggling against the current as we were paddling back - and it made all the difference!

The best way to see the inlet. Kayak through the harbor and under the bridge, and keep your eyes open. Seals, Otters, and water Birds of all kind. Treated a friend to a kayak excursion into the inlet. We paddled up into the slough about four miles. Making sidetrips in to the areas off to the side. It was an incredible experience and something I will definitely repeat. Great service and experience. Lots of good suggestions from the staff at Kayak Connection and a good value for the money.

Great route to discover, or you can go into the ocean or the slough. Get lessons if you need them or just get for supplies for your kayak experience!
