“Fantastic place to take a date or just go enjoy.”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

I have been here several times and every time I have been very happy. Great food, friendly staff and fantastic views. It can be a very romantic dinner or a relaxing dinner with friends or family. The restaurant is very nice but the surrounding area is also very nice. I make a point to come a little before my reservation so I can walk out on the cliffs in front of the restaurant and see the sights at least for a short time before dinner. If you staying close enough to this place make a point to go in my opinion.

“Terrific Location and Average Food”
Reviewed July 13, 2013

During our California vacation, our family went to this restaurant after several recommendations that we go there. The location is fantastic. The restaurant sits high on a ridge overlooking the Pacific. The view is wonderful. The history of the restaurant adds to its lure. The stories of it being haunted add to the overall experience. On the other hand, the food is just average.
The fried seafood was overly breaded. Burgers we just ok. The clam chowder was good but not great. The Ceasar salad was very good. We suggest that you go to this restaurant for a drink and an appetizer. Enjoy the view. Then go somewhere else for a good meal. There are many good restaurants in the area.

“A perfect blend of amazing setting with great food!”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

It is always such a pleasant surprise to stumble upon a treasure and the Moss Beach Distillery fits that bill! We luckily spied a roadside sign and followed the winding route to an amazing restaurant perched on the cliffs above the Pacific in a perfect picture. The views from the upper restaurant were beautiful were only topped by the scene from the patio area, complete with fire, on the lower level of the place. Incredible! Then the wonderful food! The portions were large and delicious. It obviously is a favorite for birthdays and special occasions judging by the happy groups around us. All the seafood dishes in our party of four, especially the seafood sliders, surpassed our expectations. What a gem! I would highly recommend a stop at the Moss Beach Distillery. The little town is also very charming.

“Always a treat!”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

My girlfriend and I spent our 4th of July evening at the Distillery. What a great find! This was our second visit. This entire trip was specifically planned around dinner at the restaurant. It is not a "5 star" restaurant, but, we thoroughly enjoy the setting, the menu, the view and the outdoor fire-pit seating. We enjoyed the Linguine Di Mare and the Prawn Louie. The linguine is one of the tastiest (and filling) meals I have ever eaten. After dinner we retired to the fire-pit with a glass of port to watch the sunset. Thanks to Joseph, our waiter, who added to the overall experience.
