This was our first time at an Inn. We have had such a romantic, relaxing weekend. The hosts are friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is amazing. The walk to the beach beautiful. Prior to arrival the front desk called us and offered to make a dinnner reservation. It was so easy to have dinner plans taken fare of. We will return.More

This is not just a bed and breakfast but an experience that we will relive forever. You walk right through a gate on the property onto an amazing trail along the coast that is breathtaking! This is a property that is located in an area that I believe is historical toward the development of Moss Beach. We very treated like royalty and enjoyed the wonderful chocolate chip cookies. The no children policy helps to make this a relaxing retreat. I could see coming here alone for some rest and relaxation with a good book.

Great place to stay for couples. Quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Simple breakfast adequate but other options available near by. Coast line and beach area a short walk but worth the effort. The staff made sure we had everything we needed daily and the location was perfect. Beds were comfortable and rooms well equipped. The fireplace was a plus on the chilly mornings. We look forward to returning in the future.

A wonderful 10 room inn with a fantastic living room/family area. So cozy to sit by the fireplace in the living room and read. Just a short walk to the beach and many other trails are near the inn. Very attentive staff!

What a find! This place is upmarket, beautiful, splendidly-located and a real gem. It's quiet with wonderful forest walks and access to a beautiful marine preserve beach. We stayed for three nights on our honeymoon in one of the best rooms and I could have stayed a week. It's quite a little drive from Half Moon Bay (15 minutes or so) but there are plenty of closer restaurants for dining and if you simply like exploring natural wonders, it's great. The gardens weren't at their best due to the season but I can imagine they are a real joy in spring and summer. A few small constructive criticisms: When staying three nights, it would be nice to have a larger selection for breakfast. It's a beautifully-presented continental offering but exactly the same every day. Also, when you're paying these prices, you don't expect to be limited to one small glass of wine at the social hour. All the other places we stayed at in Northern California were WAY more generous with their snacks and wine in the evenings and this was our most expensive hotel by quite a bit, so it came across as very stingy.

I came here 20 years ago with my mom and had such nice memories of this inn. It is still lovely. The short walk to the Pacific is breathtaking as the cypress trees are phenomenal. We didn't stay for breakfast as we were too busy but they did pack it up for us. Coffee and tea readily available and soft drinks and water. Would be nice if they got a chef to serve dinner a few nights for guests or even locals -suggestion but know that's tough. Truly did enjoy it....beds were so comfy!!
