Excellent Accommodations & Great Staff

Comfy, cozy, elegant and quiet. Very close to beach and tide pools. Very comfortable rooms and surroundings. Cozy and effective gas-fired fireplace in each room. Perfect for a couples get away. B&B-like (breakfast is excellent) but the staff doesn't hover and drive you nuts. Staff is excellent - helpful and knowledgeable of area and restaurants. Small hotel with only 10-rooms. Well stocked fridge in the common kitchen area with bottled water and soft drinks (all free). Kitchen area also includes nice automatic Espresso/Coffee machine and a nice assortment of teas. Grounds are beautiful. It was relaxing sitting on our patio, roaming in the gardens and watching the wildlife. Easy walking access to the beaches & tide pools. Easy, drivable access to Moss Beach and Half Moon Bay restaurants. Fantastic stay! We look forward to our next one!

Room tip: Ground floor rooms have direct access to patio. Upstairs rooms have cathedral ceilings, private decks and ≈ $50/night higher room rate.

Elegant accommodations, great staff

We stayed at the Seal Cove in for our anniversary. Beautiful, cozy, quiet stay. Close to the ocean with walks to the beach. The building is a 10 room B&B. Our room included a fireplace, and a view of the garden. The bed and furnishings were beautiful. Elegant stay overall.

Anniversary Getaway

We planned this trip for our 20th wedding anniversary, and it fulfilled and exceeded our expectations. The Inn is beautiful, the staff warm and helpful and our room both spacious and cozy at the same time. We loved the balcony and the fireplace. Friends of ours had called and arranged for champagne to be left in our room, and Stacey arranged it nicely in an ice bucket with a nice note. The most unexpected and wonderful aspect our stay was the cypress path and its extensions up onto the bluffs and down to the Marine Preserve. We availed ourselves of this every day of our stay. Thanks so much for a great vacation!

A lovely place to stay

The Seal Cove Inn is the Jewel of Halfmoon Bay. Friendly and helpful staff. Just a great place to relax and in the early evening the staff find just the perfect time to offer you a glass of wine.

The rooms are spacious and have a feeling of home. This not a full service hotel but more a guesthouse at the top of its game.

A couple of suggestions a little variation in the breakfast would be good and hide the fridge in the room it looks like an after thought but this is me being ultra picky

Second to none!

Don't even consider the Ritz up the road if you are fortunate enough to get a reservation here. My wife and I spent three very enjoyable nights at this quiet little bed and breakfast. Service at the b&b was superb. Kevin, Stacy & Sharon bent over backwards to accommodate our needs. The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. Few bed & breakfasts in the country come close!
