We ordered fish of the day and mariner salad with ahi and two cups of clam chowder. Everything tasted like a short order grill- greasy. Chowder was okay but very heavy if that's what your looking for. Worst $50 lunch ever!

The oysters are so yummy. Calamari and chips too. Love the outdoor patio in warm weather. It's kind of a kick back, funky little place, but I wouldn't miss it.

Barbequed oysters are $1.50 each... not as good as Marshall's Store in Tomales Bay but yummy anyway. Ask for smaller oysters if you prefer them. Thought clam chowder was very good. You order at counter and sit outside in plastic patio furniture. Dog friendly dining with leashes all around to keep your pet at bay.

actually im refering to the outdoor resturuant outside, which is the place with the bbq oysters, ive always got the oysters and fish tacos. The tacos were great as always but my oysters were very muddy and under cooked i couldnt eat them this time, the smaller oysters are better than the large ones for some reason ask for them if youve never tried oysters, I will return but only get 1 oyster next time before i decide if i want more.

After trying the Flying Dutchman the night before in Morro Bay, we thought to try somewhere else and came upon Tognazzini's. We were there for dinner on a Thursday, which happened to be the only night that their Manhattan Clam Chowder is available. After being described as a red chowder and tomato based, we thought we'd try it. After finding in San Franciscos Fisherman's Wharf, the white clam chowder just to be potato soup with a few cockles, the red chowder was far more tasty. Similar I thought to a warm Gazpacho. The complimentary bread rolls were dry and the accompanying garlic butter was more full of air than butter (for non-Americans, butter at restaurants in the USA is whipped, very light, fluffy and airy). Our salads however were good and tasty, one being The Mariner with Dungeness Crab and the other Coast Guard Cobb with fish of the day. Both were of the usual American generous proportions and very filling. The Coast Guard Cobb was the same as The Mariner but with extras of, avocado, bacon, egg and blue cheese crumbled over. The service was very friendly and welcoming. We couldn't choose which dressing to have with our salads, so the waitress kindly brought 4 small pots with each type of dressing. The cilantro (coriander) and lime dressing was particularly good, as was the mango. For a reasonable price it was an enjoyable meal, just didn't need to bother with the bread rolls.
