If you like Denny's, you'll love the Hungry Fisherman. It does draw the locals, and if you like people watching, this is the place to do it!
There are other places with more interesting offerings, but it is very good at what it is.

Been eating in the Fisherman for over 5 years--mostly breakfast and lunch.

Food and service have been uniformly excellent. The chefs bought out the place about 5 years ago, and have maintained very high quality.

Soups are homemade, omelets are huge, even the sandwiches are enough for two. The albondigas (Tuesdays) is perfect.

Complete breakfast from $4.95 (two eggs, hashbrowns, toast), sandwich lunches from about $8.

Daily lunch specials, often rather creative.

1/2 block east of Main, with own parking lot. Usually not too crowded.

We stopped there on the way home for breakfast. We got seated and about two minutes later we got our menus. I ordered coffee and got that but it took the gal almost 5 minutes to get back to us to take our order and they weren't that busy. We noticed two girls working and stopping to talk and whisper to some of the locals as we sat and waited. My coffee ran out and we noticed the gal go right past us and join in again on whispering and gossip. Food finally came and my egg was cold and my wife's hollindase sauce was all runny. This place needs a good manager to keep these gals from gossip and screwing around so they can take care of their customers. Customers always come first and if they want to vist, do it outside of work!! Tip was not as good as she could have had due to lack of service!!

Pretty much what you would expect from a traditional coffee shop. Went once, and saw no reason to return. Food was fare, decor was...interesting, in a whale mural kind of way... and we got to listen to the audio portion of the Today show from an unseen TV.

The food was okay, but the wait staff seemed as if they didn't want to be bothered by more customers. A surroundings seemed a bit grubby and dated.
