The views of the back bay are astounding and unique. The food is very fresh with all homemade items including soups, salad dressing, sauces and desserts. You will not be disappointed by the friendly service and wide range of food items offered. A dog friendly outdoor patio is also a plus for our animal lovers.Oh, and by the way, we are NOT open for breakfast as has been stated by trip adviser.....sorry.Open every day for lunch starting at 11:00am and including service of dinners on Thursday through Sunday.See you there.

Had wonderful salmon tacos. The staff were very knowledgeable and kind. I loved the choices and service. Even though we waited outside for a bit, the heaters were a very nice touch. We will recommend and return soon. Oh and the dessert menu rocked!

Finding ourselves in a major seafood eating area, and enjoying clam chowder, we decided to order clam chowder with lunch and dinner in each restaurant visited during our 4 day trip. While sightseeing, we came across the Bayside Cafe while looking for the Museum. Being close to lunchtime, we entered and reviewed the menu. Sure enough, there was clam chowder.... regular and surprisingly, with green chiles added. How could be pass that up! While that was all we ordered and can't comment on other menu items, that chowder made that meal one of the best we've had. It is a wonder that none of the other restaurants we visited had that combination, because it was fresh, with great consistency and wonderful taste. We saw some menu items being served to other tables, and the portions were rather large. If you like clam chowder, go out of your way to taste it with green chiles.

We found this place years ago when someone told us "this is where we locals go for a great meal". The advice was right on and we've been going there ever since. The location is scenic, right on the marina with a lovely water view, casual atmosphere, and outdoor patio, weather permitting. The food has never failed, simply cooked but tasty and fresh. Try their fish tacos (grilled mahi-mahi was their special last week), an abundance of crispy french fries is standard or you can substiute salad or slaw. We've only been for lunch but I have heard their dinners are excellent, too. Beer and wine is served, and their desserts are home-made.
Great parking if you have a camper or motor home; ours is a 34 footer and the lot is large enough to turn it around if need be.
Location is across from the State Park and golf course right down from the Natural History Museum which should'nt be missed either! (See my review.) Don't judge it by its building, its been there forever, but the inside is clean and welcoming and the food is always fresh and nicely presented. Great servers, too.
Open for breakfast lunch and dinner, crowded at lunch but worth a short wait.
Kids menu, appetizers, soups, salads and sandwiches, various seafood specialties, pasta, chicken and tri-tip. Lunches run $12-15, dinner $20-25.

The server was nice enough. We were a party of two and got there soon after they opened for the dinner crowd. Nice location-right across from the State Park campground, and nice view of the boats in the marina there. My husband ordered the fish tacos and I had the chicken strips. I also had the clam chowder and he had the curried carrot soup. Both were okay. A party of five came in after we had ordered, as did another party of two. ALL of them got served way before we did. Finally the server mentioned to us that our food was on its' way. No explanation of why it took close to 45 minutes for our meal. So, the food was okay, the wait time was unacceptable and we probably won't go there again.
