My husband-to-be and I were traveling up to Big Sur for our wedding/honeymoon. We had planned to stay the night in Morro Bay. I love it there..my grandma use to live there so I have all kinds of great memories. I researched the hotels in the area and found this Days Inn to be of fair price and still get a decent view. It is what it is. Its a Days Inn. It was clean. The view I requested was there,,,,,,,but obstructed by power lines and peoples back yards. The continental breakfast was OK. Muffins, hard-boiled eggs, cereal, oatmeal packets, coffee. You know...the basics. I guess the self-made waffles was the best part of breakfast.
We were a little irritated because we had some difficulties with the TV reception. It kept losing the signal and the screen would go blank for a few seconds when the fridge compressor would click on (TV right above the fridge).
It was OK for us for one night. Check-in and Check-out was super easy. The trainee (the mom) seemed to be learning how to check guests in, but the manager (the son) was SUPER nice and sincere. He gave really good suggestions on where to eat and what to do in Morro Bay. The price of the room was fair. Always search for discounts through AAA or other travel sites and make sure to find out how much taxes and additional hotel "fees" are. It can add up. It is what it is: A travel motel.
