“Fantastic Kayaking Experience on Morro Bay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 4, 2009

The 1/2 day kayaking trip in Morro Bay arranged by Central Coast Outdoors is definitely worthwhile. My husband (who is a biologist) was afraid that the guides would not know much about the birds we were looking at but they exceeded all expectations with their knowledge about the wildlife and were great at communicating what they knew. We took our kids (ages 5 & 7) with us and they sat in the front of the double kayaks we used. They weren't overly enthusiastic about the kayaking but absolutely loved playing in the sand dunes where we stopped to hang out and eat a great picnic lunch prepared by the guides. The trip was really relaxed which made for a very nice group experience. If you are interested in the nature of Morro Bay and want an easy and relaxed way of viewing it up close, this is a great way to do so.

“What a great tour!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 1, 2007

Took a 1/2 day eco kayaking tour today on the Morro Bay Estuary. we were expertly guided and helped by Ross, whose knowledge of the local flora, fauna, and wildlife was outstanding. I live in the area and am quite familiar with local birds but saw many today i had never seen nor identified before. I was accompanied by my grandson, Tony, 19, from Idaho, and he was equally impressed. We landed for a gourmet picnic lunch on the sandspit that separates the bay from the open Pacific Ocean, and were able to climb the massive dunes to see the ocean and surrounding area. How Ross got all that stuff for the picnic into that little kayak of his I will never know, but there were 2 kinds of really delicious salad, smoked salmon, cream cheese and bagels, sliced turkey, topped off with great brownies. There was even local wine for the one of us over 21!!! (me). I highly recommmend this company and tour..it is excellent for beginners and advanced alike; children could go along in a 2 person kayak, if not comfortable in one solo.

When in the area of the central coast of CA do not miss this!!!
