There is nothing special about this place, but having stayed at that horrible Travel Lodge up the block the year before, I was thrilled it. The room was clean and the managers were helpful and friendly. The rooms were very quiet and I never heard anything from anyone below or next to us. The jacuzzi did have a slight green tint to it...but I'm hoping that was just the lighting. Still a bit pricy, we paid over $400 for 3 nights.

stayed one night here with friends, hotel was very clean and a one minute walk to local amenities, there are lots of lovely restaurants and gift shops, the bay area was very quiet when we visited and most of the restaurants only serve food till 8-9 ish, and it's not that easy to get a beer either after this time although we did manage to find a couple of bars open late (till 11) breakfast was included with the cheap price, it was the standard danish pastries and apples type. Morro bay is a very very quiet place and seems to almost shut down at 9 pm so be very quiet if you do manage to find a late beer as the guy on the reception threatened to call the police because we were talking loudly when walking to our room at around 11 ish pm.

Clean but rather small bedroom. Comfortable but softish bed. Basic breakfast but reasonably adequate. Some traffic noise in the morning. Nice bathtub. Stayed 1 night.

Luckily only stayed one night! We had been advised that Morro Bay was worth stopping at so booked into Tradewinds, Best Western. Morro Bay was not worth the visit as cafe/restaurants were untidy and food wasn't great. The hotel was extremely basic and luckily the Best Western we went on to stay at were far better. Place reminded me of "The Bates Motel", however was drab rather than scary. Breakfast was eaten in reception which was bizarre as only two small tables with at least four families going to breakfast at same time. Hotel was comfortable but needs to be refreshed.

We stayed four nights, and used this as a homebase as a reviewer suggested. The Bed is really nice and eveything, everywhere was clean. They have a gardner that maintains all the flower pots daily, all different, with the names of each. Best dinner was the Galley for Seafood. Worst was Great American Fish Co. The Dockside was best for fish and chips. But I was told the Fish Tacos were beyond compare at the Galley. If we had eaten there twice, I would have had them. The beach was a negative for me,
They don't scrape the kelp debries, and that draws flys. So really, just a walking beach. There is a garden/kitchen shop on the left side of the main street, just past the surf shops. If you want Unique, this is the place.
This Hotel is a Easy distance to Paso Robles. Get the winery list at the chamber of commerce, this gives you times, maps, prices for tastings. Pismo Beach has a great sugar sand beach at the Pier. Cambria and Cayucos are nice and have very good Antique Shops. And the secret at Cambria is Moonstone Beach across hyw 1. Best sea food there is the Sea Chest. Opens at 5:30p. Dinner only.
I would def stay there again, Kara the manager goes out of her way to help. Cont. breakfast is passable, but the breakfast place next door, Carlas makes a Fantastic CB Hash and Eggs.
The spa deck was nice, just read and had a Brew. Stairs, no elevator, and room 111 was quiet and in the corner.
I ll be back.
