Cute trip to see the seals and sea otters! I was pleased with the tour guide and also the location of the tour. Very fun.

I stayed in Morro Bay for a few days with my partner and we both wanted to go whale watching. It was around $35 each (can't remember exactly!) but the trip was worth every penny; we left in the morning and were out at sea for almost 4 hours searching for Humpback whales. The guides are extremely enthusiastic and knowledgable. They communicate with their team on land to help track down any passing signs of whale movement. The trip involves a lot of patience and sunglasses, sunblock and snacks are vital. Also take warm clothes.

Unfortunately we only spotted the tail of one Humpback whale as it dove underwater (they can be submerged for 3-5+ minutes) but we were still very happy. The guides give you a coupon if they feel you didn't get your money's-worth which can be used for another free whale trip with them. We thought this was fantastic because there is no guarantee you will spot anything and the coupon can be used for up to a year. Although we actually saw a tail, the guide still gave us all coupons but we didn't have time to go whale watching again so we used it to go kayaking the following morning. We were gutted to hear that the afternoon trip directly following ours spotted a whole family of Humpback whales just outside the bay! Lucky them :-)

Be sure to book at least a few days in advance to ensure there is space on the boat. They can also answer any questions or queries you may have before the trip so you can prepare.

We used this company for kayaks which was fine. It's a great area to kayak. We also used them to go whale watching. This isn't the right time of year so we didn't see any whales. They provided us a return trip which was nice. They suggested that people call ahead to see what the chances of seeing a whale was. Also dress really warmly (like using ski clothes warm). I learned that from days sailing in the bay. It's cold out over the water.

We have whalewatched in Mexico, Hawaii, Alaska and Monterey Bay. None were as good as Morro Bay today. At least 35-40 humbacks getting up close and personal and at least 4 breeching out of the water. Dave was a good captain, the boat was confortable and they gave a senior rate and helped my disabled wife. Five Stars

I was visiting my aunt in Morryo Bay for my 25th Birthday and neither one of us had ever been in a kayak so we decided to rent one here. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledable and helped us newbies. The kayak was steady and did not tip over and the captain assisted us getting in and out and even took some photos of us whixch is always nice. The bay is a beautiful place to explore, you can kayak and see many aquatic wildlife including sea otters up close and sea lions, seals, and many different species of birds including groups of pelicans. The price to rent a kayak for 2 hrs for a double was $20, very reasonable. I had a great time and would do it again next time I visit the central coast.
