While in Morro bay on our 1st visit, we had to try Giovanni's. The seafood is not only fresh, but well prepared. One of my favorites has always been calamari and theirs aw some of the best I ever had. Lightly seasoned and dusted with a breeding, it was perfect. Not a chewy piece there!
My wife's snapper sandwich was also excellent. Don't both to upgrade to the garlic fires, the others are perfect.
Great lunch and view. Well worth the wait in line.

We were starving after a long day at Hearst Castle and made it to Giovannis a little after dark. Nicole and I split a delicious clam chowder bread bowl on the balcony while we watched the sea lions? And several types of birds! Great view of the giant rock and great jumping off point for main street. Great spot and great chowder!

Outside seating, order at the counter, you can bring your dog, nice view of the rock.

Clam chodwer was really good ! The fish and chips - fish was lightly battered, steaming hot and delicous. The garlic fries were excellent.

The restaurants on the Embarcadero tend to be pricey and this place is not. WIll go again on our next trip

My husband and I have been traveling to Morro Bay for the last 3 years for our Anniversary. We have tried most restaurants for fish and chips and have come to the conclusion that Giovanni's has the best fish and chips in Morro Bay. Yes they are a little pricey but they serve a good amount. The only downfall is the food gets cold fast due to no inside seating but the view is amazing.

There are a lot of choices and the prices are quite reasonable given the location. Very fresh. The people in line ahead of us got grilled fish whereas we went for everything fried! Fish-n-chips with garlic fries and deep fried oreos. Pretty tasty. The batter on the fish was thin so you could really taste the fish. Be prepared to wait in line-it was constant.
