We dined at The Galley on the waterfront in the coastal town of Morro Bay on the 1st of the year. Arrived before our reserved time of 7:30 pm and were seated in just a few minutes. We enjoyed watching the chefs ply their trade in the kitchen via a cam mounted in the bar. Restaurant decor and ambiance were pleasant, immaculate, contemporary, and tropical. Our group seeks out places conducive to subdued conversation. This fit the bill. The service was prompt and gracious. The chefs did a masterful job of preparing the halibut, rock fish, and salmon we ordered. The fish was tender, tasty, and just about melted in your mouth. I'd highly recommend this as one of the places that really stands out...even in a seafood mecca like Morro Bay. The Galley has been elevated to a "must" for our annual trips to the central coast.
