Nice, average diner type restaurant. Pricey for breakfast and no deals. No soy milk! However, great service and nice view.

Requested a nice table and was not disappointed. Fairly good service but not really impressive - very good food well presented, reasonably priced, also good wine list and we indulged in our favorite champagne! At the end I was a little disappointed that there were no sugar free deserts - which is common - however there was not even some fresh fruit offered for diabetic issues.

That said, we returned the following morning for breakfast - very good service as well as food!

My husband and I arrived in Morro Bay, with our golden retriever, on a cool, breezy September evening after a long drive from Sedona, AZ. We were hungry so we asked our innkeeper for a recommendation. She recommended Dorn's. We walked over and were warmly greeted by the friendly staff. We were shown to a table with an awesome view of the harbor and Morro Rock. The benches appeared to be heated and they lit a tabletop fireplace making it very cozy. I ordered the sea bass and my husband ordered ground sirloin with onions. Both were perfectly cooked. The vegetables alongside were tastefully prepared as well. If we should be lucky enough to find ourselves in Morro Bay again, we will certainly go to Dorn's for at least one meal.

We had a 6:30 reservation for a window view.We arrived about ten minutes early and sat at the bar. At the stroke of 6:30 we were seated at a table with a commanding view of Morro Rock and the harbor. We opened up with the mushroom appetizer, which was wonderful. Hot bread, and I do mean hot, was brought to the table as soon as we were seated. My wife had the margarita shrimp special. She loved it. I enjoyed the backend salmon. We had a crusted berry desert that was delicious.

The service was prompt and courteous. With two classes of wine the bill was $87.00. Very reasonable for our 42nd anniversary. We will be back.
