This "aquarium" is tiny with the sea lions in tiny enclosures. Their is currently a controversy regarding the care of these animals. Not a happy place.

This place does not rescue or rehab animals even though their signs and website say they do. Most of the people who like this place believe these false claims but in fact, 3 of the 4 sea lions and the one harbor seal in this miserable place were born in captivity and purchased by the owners for "entertainment'. Why people think it's fun to throw dead pieces of fish at intelligent, curious animals who are confined to very tiny, dark, and dirty cages is beyond me. These animals cannot be released so they are destined to spend their entire, shortened lives confined in these small cages, with no enrichment and nothing else to do but swim in circles. Watching them do this is extremely sad and upsetting. If you have a heart, avoid this place.

These poor animals are kept in disgraceful, cramped conditions. Reports say may animals die of neglect here, please please do not visit this hell hole!

What a horrible place! The conditions are horrible! These pop animals are forced to love in such cramped, dirty areas! There is a good way and a very bad way to care for animals in captivity and this place is even worse than I could ever imagine! After visiting and being disgusted with what I saw, I did a little research and found that this place has has many animals die from neglect and horrible care. How can you all love with yourselves?!?

I have very mixed feelings about this aquarium. I hate to see marine mammals in captivity, and that includes in places such as Sea World. As a scuba diver I have seen these animals in their natural environment so it breaks my heart seeing them in these tiny pools. Having said that I have to balance that view with the fact that if these seals were released they would be dead very quickly as they have been born in captivity. So - in an ideal world these creatures would be free but as they can't be then this aquarium is doing all it can to keep them safe and alive. For $2 go see for yourself whether or not it's worth it.
