“A great place to go camping.”
Reviewed December 20, 2012

It has been a number of years since I have actually stayed there but I have visited the park by drive thrus and visiting people there while they camp. It is a beautiful place under huge pine trees, next to a fantastic golf course and Morro Bay town. It is just up the hill from the Embarcadero where there are shops and great restaurants. Bird watching at Morro Rock is wonderful too. The max size of an RV is 35' (confirm this) and there are not any hook ups.

“One of many visits”
Reviewed December 12, 2012

There are several great hikes. The little restaurant in the parking lot behind the Museum is a great lunch spot. I'm not a golfer but there were lots of golfers and the golf course is really gorgeous. Very pretty.

“What a rock!”
Reviewed December 6, 2012

I was surprised that there is a road to the Morro Bay rock. We went out and braved the winds to see the surf crashing aginst the breakwater. Really cool. We also walked along the path to see the Heron Rookery and we went to the Natural History Museum. Nice for the amatuer naturalist. Prettty small. There is deck that hands over the bay that has wonderful views and you can see a lot of sea life from that spot.

“Ok but won't be back”
Reviewed November 15, 2012 via mobile

We were just camping at Morro bay state park. It was just ok. The electric site were hard to get so we had a site with no hook ups which would have been ok if I was able to use my generator more. Quite hrs are from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am but you have to turn off your generator at 8:00 pm which made no since. They had most of the shower doors locked and the restrooms never had soap. Overall the sites around park are nice but if you want to have any comfort you may want to find another park
