“quiet & peaceful”
Reviewed December 4, 2012

A boardwalk has been recently added providing easier for viewing the estuary, It is beautiful year round but especially comes alive in mid December through January when many migrating birds visit. there is a great Museum of natural History close by where docents provide information about birds, the estuary and other areas of interest.

“Educational”
Reviewed November 29, 2012

If you have children (even if you don't) you won't want to miss this treasure of the sea. Take off your shoes and socks and let your toes sink down into the gooey mud. Dig down into the mud to find an assortment of creepy crawley crustations. Don't be tempted to take them though. They need to stay in their natural habitat.

Rent a kayak at low tide and you can really see the what and who goes on in the estuary. It is a primordial masterpiece.
