“Great breakfast for a great price”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 3, 2013

Today we had breakfast at Frankie and Lola's in Morro Bay. It's a tiny little restaurant at the end of the embarcadero. We had a short wait but it was worth It. The food was delicious. My husband and I both had burritos, which were exceptional. My burrito came with sausage but they were more than happy to substitute bacon instead. The food comes out beautifully displayed. Saw a womans order of fruit with apples feathered in the bowl. I also ordered one pancake as I heard they were really good. The pancake was amazing! Not sure how they make it taste so good but they did! The prices are very reasonable and you get a ton of food. I took half of my burrito with me and had it later in the day. If you're in the area make sure to stop in...they are open for breakfast and lunch.

“Been a year and still great!”

A must is the fried green tomato eggs benedict. I wasn't too happy with the pancakes - a little mushy in the center. Service was great and friendly. Coffee priced high - $2.50.

“Hidden gem!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 18, 2013

There is plenty of good choices for eating in Morrow Bay, but having checked the form out with a local, we headed to F & L's for breakfast. Good choice on menu, friendly and efficient staff, and convenient location. All bread and buns are home-made and the Rye toast was amazing!

“Has to be the best in Morro Bay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 12, 2013

I cannot imagine a better breakfast spot. We would like to say this is the best breakfast/lunch café in Morro Bay, but we didn’t try anyone else to compare with. After the first morning we came back 2 more times.

The decadent French toast is like no other. They bake it in a dish with crème Brule sauce and walnuts. It was the best I’ve ever had. Be aware it will put you in a diabetic coma. Speaking of sweet the Cinnamon rolls looked very good.

They have a very unique menu, not just the same omelette and pancakes at the other places. It is a little more expensive that the other coffee shops, but the unique organic dishes are like no other.

The chilaquilles plate was my second favorite with a great blend of flavors with Tortillas, chorizo, tomatillo salsa, scrambled eggs, queso oaxaca, guajillo, avocado & sour cream.

Other highlights were The Right Way, mushrooms, bell peppers, some more veggies with flavored cream cheese & sprouts.

There are about 10 tables inside and the patio has a great view of Morro Rock although it borders the parking lot.

Please visit the bathroom (there is only one) with its vintage Burt Reynolds on a bare skin rug in bare skin poster. A trip to the 70’s.
