Four of us decided on DiStasio's on the spur of the moment. We were seated quickly, and took our time deciding what to eat. The menu has a lot of interesting choices; prices are reasonable, and the corkage fee moderate. They are recently opened, and the servers were trying hard, but service from kitchen was slow despite the fact that they didn't seem to be that busy when we arrived. When the food finally arrived, it was delicious and well-prepared. The evening took a bit longer than we had hoped, but it was all very pleasant. I would give them another try.

My husband and I had dinner here with our 8 month kiddo... We had shrimp scampi and the DiStacio special pizza with dinner salads... The food was good... A nice change of pace from the fried fish n chips that are all over town. We each had two (big) glasses of wine and got out of there for $65. We really liked this place for a casual dinner with our little guy..

A few extra steps are needed to find this Italian food gem;it is near the southern end
of Morro Bay's restaurant row.Sitting over the water, view of everything .Small,15 tables,
outside deck good for pets.
Our entrees were excellent;shrimp scampi and chicken marsala, served with
perfect pasta!Wine list was small and affordable.Service effecient and friendly.
Prices overall were a great value.

Went there on a Saturday night and the main dining area was full, so we were offered a table on the "glassed-in, heated patio" downstairs. When we got there, the tables were effectively picnic tables and the patio was glassed-in; sort of. The wind was blowing pretty good and the server didn't turn on the heater until we requested it later in the meal. He did his best considering how busy the upstairs was, but overall, the food was OK, but when you're paying $13 for a plate of pasta cacciatore (very little chicken in it), you expect a little more than 1 piece of bread per person and a patio that was a little dirty.
Disappointing, but considering how busy the place was, maybe we're of a minority opinion.

DiStasio's is located on the waterfront of Morro Bay overlooking the small boat harbor and Morro Rock. It is a charming little restaurant with very good food and a good wine list (it does not have a full bar). The menu features nicely prepared Italian specialties and seafood, unpretentious and moderately priced. We went there for dinner on a Thursday night. Service was excellent at first, but slowed to a crawl when the place began to fill up. Finally, another waitperson came on duty and the pace picked up again. Our waitress was cheerful and helpful. Parking is limited to free on-street spaces in the vicinity.
