We stayed one night and were greeted by Mollee who was just gorgeous. She made us feel right and home and I felt we had known her for years. Our room was spacious and bed was so comfy we could have stayed for another night. Highly recommend Morro Bay and Anderson Inn!

We spent two nights at Anderson Inn at the beginning of a two week California road trip. Jeff & Molly were the most wonderful hosts. From the initial tour of our room and amenities to the suggestions of things to do and places to see (along with daily water & apples for the road) we found them to be genuinely concerned for their guests' comfort and enjoyment. We had a corner room overlooking the water. What fun to watch (and listen to) the sea lions! The view of Morro Rock from the balcony is perfect. The room itself was beautiful - nicely decorated and well laid out. Everything was really comfortable.
We highly recommend this inn to anyone planning a trip up the California coast!

Room Tip: We had a corner room overlooking the water - the views are wonderful and the rooms are very spacious...

The Anderson Inn was the highlight of our California road trip. The hosts we just so friendly and welcoming and the location and rooms were perfect. What really surprised us was just what a great place Morro Bay is. Not only is it the perfect stopover distance from LA there was a lot to see and explore. We walked the 40 minute walk to Morro Rock in the afternoon- stopping to see the baby otters and the surf beach. There were lots of interesting shops and markets in town and we enjoyed a great seafood meal at the Galley Restaurant. The Anderson Inn was a fabulous stopover and highly recommended.

Room Tip: All the rooms have great views.

I had booked the last night of our trip at the Anderson Inn. The great experience began with the booking, when I received very friendly and prompt responses to my questions about the sunset time and restaurant reservation. I was even told that I hadn't chosen the best room but that my booking request had been changed to the best room, overlooking the water and the rock, facing north. It was fantastic! We loved being able to sit inside in comfort( as there were 2 great lounge chairs, unlike the one provided in most places), sipping wine, watching the sunset and listening to the sound of the otters. The bathroom was huge and in 2 sections, with a wonderful shower, lots of fluffy towels and hooks as well as a well lit mirror. Little things, but much appreciated.
We enjoyed a delicious, fresh seafood meal in the restaurant below and the next morning, were given directions to another very local place for breakfast. We didn't want to leave this beautiful room and pretty fishing town. The owners know exactly how to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. Well worth the money!

Our trip plans had to change due to illness while traveling recently in California. I called and spoke to Jeff and was able to get a room for two nights. Molly, Jeff and Roger were great. It was exactly what the doctor ordered to be able to rest at the Anderson Inn. Comfortable with all the necessary amenities and even fresh cream for our coffee in the morning was placed in the frig. It was the day after Labor Day and very quiet.Thank you Molly and Jeff for taking good care of us. We hope to get back there someday.

Room Tip: It would be nice to get a room on the end overlooking the water but even the rooms in the middle wer...

Our road trip took us from San Francisco all the way down to San Diego over the course of two weeks. Our only regret is that we did not spend more than the one night we did at the Anderson Inn. Molly welcomed us upon our arrival and immediately made us feel at home. She called the restaurant to let them know we would be a bit late. She then brought us to our room on the top floor overlooking the bay with the sound of the sea lions in the distance. She showed us how to use the fireplace, double shower, whirlpool tub and the remote for the ventilation. The bed was amazingly comfortable and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony enjoying the fresh sea air. The next morning we completed our walk around town, Morro Bay and Morro Rock and said our fair well to Molly and her brother Jeff. They gave us some fruit and bottled water and bid a friendly good bye. We promised them, and ourselves, that we would definitely be coming back, but for a longer stay. Thank you for the wonderful memories Molly!! See you again soon!

Great place to stay in Morro Bay. We stayed in a room overlooking the bay and Morro Rock. The view was spectacular. We could walk out on our balcony and look right down into the water. Anderson Inn is a family owned business, the sister and two brothers were so friendly and helpful. We ate at a great restaurant under the Inn. There are many shops around the Inn within walking distance. This is a must stay if you are visiting Morro Bay.

Room Tip: If you have any questions about Morro Bay, ask the family that runs the Inn. They are great.
