We wanted to stay near Gilroy on our way back from Lake Tahoe. The price seemed OK when we booked it, and we didn't see anything negative of consequenc3e, so we booked a couple rooms.

The first thing we noted was that the bathroom door did not open all the way. The door hit the toilet when opening, so one had to wiggle into the bathroom to use the toilet, then shut the door. Floors were rather dirty, and A/C was marginal.

The topper was when my wife and daughet were walking back from Starbucks, a couple blocks away. Some creeper started following them, and they made it back to the motel. By the time they told me about it and I went outside to investigate, the man was gone. Although it doesn't look a big city ghetto, this is not a great neighborhood.

Staff was OK. The lady at the front desk listened to our complaint and proceeded to ignore it. Wifi connection was free, but you get what you pay for: Really poor connection.

Use only in case of emergency.

Room Tip: Rooms at the Holiday Inn next door are much better

Stopped here based on a Yelp recommendation and regretted it. Looked good up front but indoor-type chairs were strewn outside our non-smoking door along with a trashcan and ashtray. Furnishings were cheap and worn, zero ambiance, remodel was shoddy and unfinished, did not feel secure all night. Very disappointed. Motel 6 would've been an improvement.
