I have never critiqued a restaurant but this needs to be said. The place was about 1/3 full on a Wednesday at about 11am. The Vegetarian omelette was brown like it had been cooked in too hot oil on a dirty skillet. It was to the point of almost being burnt, there was a taste of old, maybe rancid oil on a dirty skillet. Even the cheese could not cover the off taste.
The potatoes were cut in large, over-browned pieces and were dry around the edges, some you couldn't put your fork into. Most you wouldn't eat. Sitting in a lot of that same bad oil. It was like they had been left out for a long time on the counter and then deep fried in old, dirty frying oil before serving. There was a tasteless glob that looked like white gravy over the potatoes. The English muffin had a tablespoon of dark yellow oil that has no taste, the kind you get in cheap diners that is supposed to be melted butter. This cost me $7.50.
I was starving, ate only a bit of the eggs that were least burnt and half of an English muffin and literally left with an upset stomach. The bathroom floor was sticky like someone had spilled a thick pancake syrup on the floor and my shoes stuck with each step, and not just a little.
It is hours later and my stomach is so upset that I may not be able to eat today at all.
