Don't let the "Chef" in the restaurant's name fool you. We didn't see anything special on the menu that warrants a "Chef' title.
Standard chinese restaurant menu, slightly higher on the price.
The food is decent. Nicely decorated inside, but the service was slow. After our food came, we were left alone, had to flagged the waitress so we can have our check

Don't kid yourself. This is not Chinese food, but American Chinese food a la Panda Express. If you come with that expectation, you will be satisfied, but if you are expecting anything 'authentically' Chinese, then you'd better take your business elsewhere. There was not a single Chinese waiter there; they all seemed to be either Mexican or Filipino/a. That's not necessarily a problem, unless you go to the restaurant with actual Chinese people who want to order in Chinese, as was the case with my party. Also, the chef is not even Chinese (we know this because we asked the waitstaff.) I believe they have one Korean on staff, but no Chinese. I'm not trying to be ethnocentric here, but there's a certain irony to that, don't you think?

Other indications that this is a Chinese restaurant for non-Chinese people: The placemats show the Chinese Zodiac figures. They set the table with forks, not chopsticks.

With all that said, the food is edible. It's kind of like Chinese takeout served on actual plates. They have all the familiar American Chinese standbys; fried rice, sweet and sour pork, fried noodles, and "organge" chicken. (The "organge" chicken was actually kind of tasty.) Another benefit of this restaurant is that they have a large dining space that can accommodate large parties.

This is Chinese Food for people who like Panda Express.
The service is good and fast. The decor is colorful; the restaurant is clean.
The only reason I go to this restaurant is because a friend of mine loves it -- I am not sure why :-) --; the only thing I eat here is the Hot and Sour Soup. That is pretty good.
If you have a craving for good Chinese Food, go to Full Moon on Alvarado in Monterey.

Fresh, hot and tasty. Whatever we have ordered has always been good. We try and stay with the vegetarian selections and they have enough to fill us up. Always some to take home, yummy. Good service, friendly and clean.

The food here is good, and the staff is nice and neutral. They're the types that just want to get the transaction done so you can be on your way, and I am fine with that. The food is pretty standard Chinese restaurant food. Nothing new here. But also no complaints.

It seems that they give you less food when you take out vs when you eat there, though.
