Love this cafe! This place brings good memories from Paris for us. too bad we only got to go there once right before leaving Monterey. we went there for breakfast, we tried quite a few things and they were all very good but the cinnamon twist (i think that's the name) was super, you must try it. we also bought sandwiches for our roadtrip, they were delicious! The price is very reasonable too. It's not a very big place and it was a little crowded when we were there a little after 9am, seatings are limited. I would definitely visit this place again if I am in Monterey again.

Walked in on Bastille Day to find a gorgeous array of delicious pastries, and people speaking French. They gave away beautiful sugar cookies in honor of the big day. We sat outside, enjoyed coffee and almond croissants. Any choice is a great choice. Reminds me of the Gayle's Bakery in Capitola, Ca. Perfect morning. Seating inside and out. Within walking distance of the downtown and warf. Bon Appetite!

We were excited to come here after reading the good reviews and having travelled to Paris before. It is located near the downtown area of Monterey and wasn't too hard to find as we drove into town from SanFran. Parking is limited- we had to drive around the block a few times to find a spot along the street. It is not a fancy place, but cute and old-fashioned. They have a good choice of items on the menu and we settled on sandwiches. Prices are good - esp. if you are on a budget or have a large family. Seating was limited as we were there near lunchtime but found a table within 5 minutes of ordering. The tables line the windows and you order directly across at the counter. They will bring your food to you. Our sandwiches were really good and as we ate, couldn't help but gaze over at the far counter lined with delicious looking french pastries and breads. So, my daughter and I walked over and took about 5 minutes of "ooh-ing and ah-ing" before we made a decision. A croissant, 2 creme-filled long johns, which were a bit sweeter than ones in Paris - but really good all the same. We left, hoping to come back during our short stay but didn't get the chance. This is a place worth finding!

We enjoyed our lunch here.......the sandwiches were delicious and we followed up with delicious pastries. There was a bit of a mixup with one of our sandwiches, but we weren't in a hurry so it was fine.
