I stayed here during a business trip. The hotel staff were very accommodating. My room was clean and comfortable. I had a balcony overlooking the pool. The breakfast in the restaurant was delicious. I would definitely stay here again.

One thing that set's our Hilton Garden Inn apart from many others is our location of Monterey. We are a business friendly Brand created by Hilton however we rest in a Tourist destination. We do however love to pride ourselves on being extremely accomodating and productive for Business. We have our free Wifi, comortable workdesks and ergonomic chairs and a Business Center and Lounge area for conducting business. I would have to say there not many better places for a business trip than the Monterey Peninsula so we hope to see you come back soon.

There was a misunderstanding while booking this hotel (we thought we had booked the all inclusive breakfast package but it was our own error) that resulted in the manager giving my family complimentary breakfast! The staff in general (especially the manager) genuinely care for your comfort and convenience.

Check in was quick and welcomed us with freshly baked cookies + watermelon water. This hotel is "wide" because it is only 2-3 stories high but parking is easy to find close to your room wherever it may be. There is an outdoor and underground parking garage. The rooms are clean, comfortable and high quality (i.e. neutrogena brand products in the bathroom). All of the amenities you would expect plus more are in the room. The beds are comfortable and the bath products were top-notch (I have allergies and my skin flares up easily but that did not occur in this hotel which implied their bath products + bedding was sensitive). We especially liked the balcony that overlooked the pool/hot tub. There are cabanas around the pool + towels. The guests staying at this hotel were quite mindful of the noise level and would never be loud when swimming.

The hotel has interior corridors which are well lit and fancy. My family went to the gym and said it was awesome; I had a chance to use the free 24 hr business center which I appreciated. There is also a bar/lounge area adjacent to check in with a fireplace (and another fireplace next to the pool which my dad enjoyed after he swam in the cold evening). Now for my favorite part: the cooked to order breakfast: this blew us away- the best breakfast we have ever eaten at a hotel. You wait (very shortly) to be seated by their wait staff and then you are free to roam the buffet area. There is a window where a couple of chefs take your order: you can order all of your typical hot breakfast items which they will make fresh but I highly recommend the french toast croissant! Never had anything like it before and I decided it's my favorite breakfast item from now on... They additionally have yogurt, fruit, bagels, make your own waffles, muffins, scones, cereal, juices, coffee and SODA which I definitely took advantage of even though it was 9AM. Very high quality breakfast- we would look forward to it every day.

The hotel is in a prime location. Highway 1 is literally right next to it, and it only took us a few minutes to drive to Cannery Row/ Fisherman's Wharf areas. It is worth staying here since it is quiet but you are close to many exciting attractions. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Get a room overlooking the pool.

Thank you for thewonderful and very detailed review. You explained our property very welland I would have to agree, we do offer one of the best breakfast's of any Hilton Garden Inn in the World and most definately in Monterey. Our Chef Emil has been in the area for over 25 years and brings his specials such as the Croissant French Toast you mentioned. Just last week he created a Special called an Egyptian Omelet. Guests love his suprises every day so please come back and try another. Happy Holidays!

Nice hotel in a great location with a very efficient and friendly staff. Starbucks in the lobby is a good touch. Good restaurant on premise. Large 42" TV in my room was nice for viewing television programs and sporting events.

Thank you for your wonderful review. In addition to our 42" TVs in the rooms we also have a great Bar/Lounge in our Lobby area that hosts two 60 inch TV's where you can catch the primetime Football, Basketball, Baseball and Hockey games. Our Bartender's love to talk sports and pour some of the best drinks in town. Come and try it out.

Staff was friendly and helpful with directions and dinner recommendations. We were able to use and enjoy the two day pass for the Monterey Aquarium. Service was good. Hotel was exceptionally clean. We enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and would stay here again.
