This hotel has a serious noise problem. The way the building is constructed transmits an unacceptable amount of both noise and vibration between rooms. I've never stayed at hotel where I've had so much disturbance from other rooms. At first, I thought the problem was inconsiderate other guests but then realized the just walking normally across the room was shaking my floor and thus ceiling of the room below. I would have found this problem unacceptable at a Motel 6. It should never happen at a 3 star.
The other flaw is the lack of air conditioning. The room was hot because of this. With room being a busy street, we were faced with the choice of heavy street noise from opening the sliding glass door or being too warm.
Aside from these flaws, the hotel has a lot going for it. Decor is good. The bed was conformable and had top-notch linens. Room was sizable. Bathroom was good. The location is close to downtown. If it weren't for the noise and lack of A/C, this would be good stay but because of these problems, I would not go back.More
