Noise......stomping, jumping, loud voices went on & on & on. We complained, but it still went on. There were way too many people to handle the breakfast room & the food was out most of the time. There was only one waffle maker, for the entire group, which jammed up the tiny room even more. Guests were out in the lobby trying to eat their breakfast. We have stayed at many hotels, & this one was a mistake......will never return.

Hey, Car Week at Monterrey. Didn't make reservations 6 months in advance. My bad. Paid thru the teeth 3 mos in advance. Paid $180 for Wednesday, but Thursday night was quoted as $450. Decided to drive home to Las Vegas, rather than pay $250 per night more.

Probably one of the worst night stays in memory. The temperature control for the room was non-existent and the temperature was set way to high. The only way to get comfort was to open the window, which meant road noise galore. Not the best choices to have to make. The room was okay, but the iron had not been cleaned in a long while. That's a problem if you are traveling for business. I could have ruined my outfit, fortunately I ran the iron through a towel first and all the gunk ended on the towel not my clothes. Finally, the staff was not very friendly at all, not at check in and certainly not when I was voicing my complaints about the heat in the room and the dirty iron. Worst of all, while my work colleague was checking out a young boy wanted to ask the receptionist a question. She told him he had to wait, then turned to me and asked me how she could help me. I suggested that she wanted to take care of the boy first. He asked for a bathroom and she said they didn't have any. I found that hard to believe, but worse her tone was just smug. I will not be staying here on any repeat business trips to Monterey, that's for sure.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the road. If you need to open the window it should be more quiet.

Hotel has thin walls and floors, which failed to prevent noise transmission between adjoining rooms. You hear people walking heavily in floors above and snoring neighbors sound like they’re in the same room. Too noisy to sleep and the staff failed to address the problem when I requested a room change.

We enjoyed the king sized bed, excellent pillows, and clean room. The spacious room included two tables with comfortable chairs. Too bad the evening was warm that made the room up to 77 degrees; good that there was a sliding door to open for fresh air.
