This hotel is clean and neat. Not fancy, per se, but adequate and the staff was very friendly. I’d definitely stay here again when in Monterey. No in room air conditioners but otherwise well-appointed and worth the money.

Stayed here for one night on our drive South. We usually use hotels in the Hilton group but this place was quite a bit cheaper for our night.
I had asked for a room without a connecting door but was still allocated a connecting room. The guy in reception sorted it out for me without any fuss.
The room was clean and comfortable. Two easy chairs which made a nice change. Everything clean and comfortable. We did hear voices from the next room in the morning but not during the night.
Breakfast area was far too small and with very few tables. Breakfast wasn’t really worth the effort. Not even up to Hampton Inn standards.
Overall, it was good value for money.

We just had a 3 night stay here to visit the area and were so pleasantly surprised. It's the Best Best Western we've ever stayed in. I can't remember the last time we've stayed anywhere that the entire staff was so sincerely happy and helpful. They kept everything very clean, our room was large and we really enjoyed having the extra space with the table and 2 chairs. Fremont is currently under construction and is a bit of a pain, but we still appreciated the location since it was so close to all the major sites we went there to see. This was a great value as well, as the prices in this area can be quite expensive.

If I were to visit Monterey again I would probably choose another hotel. This one was ok but the service was sub par. We had to wait for our room to be cleaned after we got back from all day exploring at 430. When we went to ask why the front desk clerk was out smoking in the parking lot talking to his girlfriend. I only know that because they were making out a couple of times

We had stayed here to attend the Artichoke Festival, which was only a block and half walking distance away. The room was huge. Check-in was flawless with new employee Phillip. Very polite and informative on the area for us. The lobby has a big koi pond which kids will love. Lots of parking. Very quiet, complimentary continental breakfast. Small pool outside but a little too cold for the day we checked in. Nearby restaurants within walking distance too.
