We chose Chart House as we were staying in the hotel next door and didn't want to walk too far for a meal. The reviews were good, but the name didn't fill me with much hope. I was so wrong!
From the outside, Chart House is an attractive, modern building and it gets better when you step through the doors. With a fabulous bar, dim atmospheric lighting no doubt to take in the incredible views from the panoramic window, and well spaced tables, this would be the perfect place for a romantic meal for 2 or with a larger group. We booked a few hours before dining, so were lucky to be able to get in at all, and didn't have a table with a direct view. But if you booked further in advance and got a window table, it would make for a fabulous evening. Having said that, it appeared all tables have a partial ocean view.
The service was excellent - professional, friendly and knowledgeable staff explained what was in dishes and despite being full, our waitress took time to chat with us. A truly personal service!
The food was delicious - steaks cooked to perfection - and there was a great cocktail list to go with it. The deserts looked delicious, but with the large portions, we weren't able to manage one. There is a chocolate desert that takes 30mins to prepare. The table opposite us had it and it looked amazing!
The prices were pretty good for the quality of food, but the views are what you pay for - and they're worth every dollar!
