Just been with these guys out whale watching. It wasn't long before we came across a couple of grey whales migrating through. The tour guide was great. Would recommend paying the extra to get to the top deck of the Greatland boat for a better view.

Our whale watching experience was made even better by the Captain and crew of are ship. The sea was a little rough for a time and the Capt. Took it slow and steady to help those who did get sick. And when we spotted whales the Capt. And his crew, especially the naturalist, made sure everyone had optimum viewing opportunities and commentary.

One of the highlights of our recent trip.We were able to see countless whales and got many great photos.Everything was as advertised. This may have been the best money we spent during our whole time in the S.F. area.As other have mentioned, it gets a bit chilly out on the water so bring some warm clothes.

Went here this last weekend and really enjoyed the tour. Katherine, our Biologist guide, was very excited and provided information about the different bird and whale species that we came across. They say the tours are 2 1/2 to 3 hours, our tour ended up being closer to 3 1/2 hours because we weren't able to locate any whales until almost 2 hours into the tour. Actually saw some humpbacks and grey whales, which is supposedly rather unusual.

Be forewarned though, the ride can be a bit choppy depending on wind conditions. Definitely bring a sweater and jacket even if you think you'll be fine with just a sweater. Also, if you have gloves bring them - your hands will get cold if you spend most of your time outside. You can always hang out in the heated cabin of the boat, but this is a tour best experienced outside. Make sure too that you have a camera with a good zoom, because they are living creatures you won't be getting super close.

I chose this tour after seeing many positive reviews and I realize how true those reviews were. We really had a wonderful family experience. We chose the 3:30 pm tour on Feb 16. It was a very clear day, very pleasant inland, but got really cold when we went into the ocean, hence please make sure to bring your jacket. We saw a group of gray whale and plenty of dolphins. The tour guide was very informative and friendly. Another thing to remember is, the ocean may be turbulent, though the boat seems to be very safe, but you might have motion sickness or sea sickness.
