Description: Receiving rave reviews from both locals and its famous guests, Cafe Fina specializes in Italian seafood and features fresh local seafood, seasonal organic vegetables from the owner's ranch, fresh homemade pasta and a classic wood burning oven—the first in Monterey. Located on Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey, the restaurant boasts many fresh seafood items from which to choose. Steak, pizza, and many other non-seafood items are also available. In addition to its standard menu, Cafe Fina provides vegetarian, children’s and banquet menus. The restaurant is pet friendly and offers a doggie menu as well. With gorgeous views of the Monterey Bay from almost anywhere in the restaurant, and the friendliest service in town, Cafe Fina is one of the better choices for a meal while visiting Fisherman’s Wharf.

But the in-house recipes demanded we stay, and maybe come back again to try more menu items. Interesting spices in their unique clam chowder - as good as I’ve tasted on Fishermen’s Wharf. Pleasant music selections. Attentive service. The ravioli AND it’s sauce we delicious. And they brought more bread so we wouldn’t have to miss any of it.

You almost feel tone on a boat. Sit inside but by the window. Had a Negroni but I prefer block ice. The mussels were some of the plumpest (is that a word) that I’ve ever had. But the special bit was the sauce. With a local Chardonnay. Lunchtime heaven!

We both had the seafood cioppino; it was outstanding! Excellent restaurant, with good food and great service. Our server, Robert was very helpful, interesting to talk to and provided good service. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

Our overall experience here was very pleasant. Coming in for a late lunch, I'd asked for outside seating, but on discovering this area faced the wharf walkway, I changed my mind, and we were beautifully accommodated with a window table for two looking out on the water and the Presidio of Monterey. The service was friendly and attentive. The menu emphasizes seafood but also has good-sounding pizzas and pastas. The two of us opted to share the seafood paella, which was more than generous in size and attractive, but although the rice was delicious, the seafood was disappointing: the crab was dry (obviously frozen, not fresh), the mussels tasted a tiny bit off, the prawns and calamari rings were OK. With a different menu choice, I suspect my rating would have been distinctly higher. I'd still likely rate this among the top places on the wharf.
