I would highly recommend this hotel. The location was within the historic district, next to fisherman’s wharf and a step out into the old town. The facilities were excellent and speak to the concierge she was very helpful, booked our trips and guided us to the best places around Monterey Bay. It is a price point above other hotels but value for money in terms of the location and facilities. My only point to make is that the swimming pool is small and doesn’t have enough chairs around it, although there is so much to see and do around Monterey we didn’t spend any real time there.

Just a one night stay, but from check in - check out it was a 5 star experience. We did ask for a room with A/C which, for us (from Australia) was necessary. The choc-chip cookie on check in was something to note. We found the walk from the hotel to the Cannery really nice, especially at sunset. Recommend.

From the description we were expecting something quite characterful and it’s actually quite corporate and dry. Pay for parking. Conference centre tax. Paid for WiFi- it’s 2019 people, that’s not cool.
Room was average, a bit tired. All in all, too expensive for what it is.

Weekend trip to Monterey to play in a NCGA event - booked the room with no issues using the NCGA rate. Staff was great, hotel in a great location, classy place, located at the entrance to the wharf and across the street from downtown Monterey. Excellent experience at a very nice hotel, you won't be sorry if you stay here during your visit.

I found this hotel on Trip Advisor and decided to stay there as a result of the location area attractions, the view from the rooms, and it was one if the few hotels in the area with a pool and hot tub. When I arrived the hotel was even more beautiful in person. It was close to many restaurants and a short walk to the Aquarium and Cannery row. I would definitely stay here again.
