We broke our tradition and decided to try a new restaurant for my wife's birthday. We liked the atmosphere at the Grotto so decided to try. What a great surprise. The staff was extremely warm and friendly. Our server, Mino, was first class and very accommodating to picky eaters. He is also great at wine suggestions for pairing with your food.
The marinated artichoke appetizer was to die for. I had a calamari steak with eggplant Parmesan style. It was extremely well prepared. My wife had boulliabasse which was also outstanding, although I am sure I misspelled it.
The staff checked on us, we were not rushed. The desert tray is just wonderful if you saved some room.
