“Nice place to eat at least one of your nights in Monterey..”
Reviewed January 28, 2013 via mobile

Exceptional service, nice atmosphere and kid friendly. Wasn't sure at first but after we were seated, the waiter was gracious and on top of things. No wait, and food came pretty quickly. We all enjoyed our meal. Especially the organic items for our side dishes. A bit pricey but it's more because of location and tourists. If it was cheaper, we would probably eat there all the time.

“One Of Our Fav's”
Reviewed January 19, 2013

The food here is excellent! The service is top notch. The views are incredible. This is a true icon of Monterey, well known for the great food. It is not cheap, but it is reasonable. We always get full, they portions are large, just the way we like it.

“Good, not great”
Reviewed January 17, 2013

We had pear and Gorgonzola salad, which was excellent. Dressing was not overpowering; candied walnuts added nice touch. Clam chowder was good, but not big chunks of clam like we had in other places. Crabcakes were very good, nicely presented. The biggest disappointment was the steamed mussels. We both agreed they had a funny taste that didn't sit well. I thought maybe they were to "fishy" tasting. My husband though they seemed acidic. Wish we had gone back to Fish Hopper instead.

“delicious food!”
Reviewed January 9, 2013

We stumbled upon this gem while shopping along the wharf. With all the handing awards saying ' Best clam chowder' - it wasn't difficult to decide. We weren't disappointed! We had the best oysters there, the seafood was fresh and not to mention the chowder - we would come back again! It's our no.1 rated restaurant for our entire US roadtrip!

“Amazing clam chowder!”
Reviewed January 5, 2013

My friend and I were looking for some great clam chowder for dinner. The desk clerk at our hotel recommended this restaurant and we enjoyed it so much that we went back and thanked him later! The "cup" of clam chowder was huge and really really good. Everything we had for dinner was delicious. I had a lovely glass of Rombauer chardonnay, which is difficult to get in a restaurant by the glass. The service was excellent. Overall, our best dinner and dining experience on our whole trip. I will definitely come back and recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Monterey.
