This was a great find, right across the street from our motel. We ate here twice. The first day we both had a chile and cheese omelet with crispy hash browns, rye toast and coffee. The second day the orders were for a short stack of blueberry pancakes with a side of bacon and one blueberry pancake, one egg, two stripes of bacon and toast and coffee. The pancakes were loaded with blueberries. Breakfast cost about $26.00 each day.
The theme in the restaurants is owls. They started with a bunch of their own then people started sending owls to them from all over the world. I think this says a lot about the not only the food but about the personable owners and staff.
According to our waitress, Grandma's chile, red or green, is made fresh daily and it's a local favorite. This was one of those restaurants where, if we were locals, this would be a regular breakfast stop.
