The view is amazing, like no other water front view. Each table is supplied with binoculars with a card supplied with information of what you might see!
The food choices are slim, pricey but you MUST save room for dessert! I had the crepe, and it was amazing!

“Great Food and Great View”
Reviewed July 14, 2013

We went to Cindy’s Waterfront at the Monterey Bay Aquarium for lunch on July 4th. The front desk was very helpful with a table at short notice – got us a table looking out over the Bay with an outstanding view. It was in the back with high chairs set side by side – by the kitchen but worked well for us. Service was very good and attentive. The food was excellent and served fresh. I had fish and chips and wife had chowder and a salad – came with bread and olives. We had a very enjoyable and relaxing lunch. We will be back.

“Nice view, excellent food”
Reviewed July 13, 2013

We ate at Cindy's Waterfront last weekend. As soon as we got our tickets to the Aquarium we headed straight to the restaurant for some food. We had the calamari appetizer, which was great. Hubby had the King Salmon special and I had the salmon risotto. My risotto was not heavy and the freshness if the fish came thru. We ended our meal with a vegan chocolate cake, oh my goodness it was like a chocolate torte, very rich. We will definitely be back.

“Very Disappointing”
Reviewed June 25, 2013

Our lunch was a great disappointment. Oysters were fine, artichoke was underdone and the "
curried shrimp" was quite poor. The dressing seemed to be cayenne pepper and water - too hot and no flavor, certainly not curry. There were some blond raisins, some very tough pieces of ham, and lot of greens. All in all, the salad was a real loser. The celebrity chef must not be watching!
The Aquarium's view is outstanding, though! Maybe try the cafe which is in the same location?

“A wonderful place to recharge when visiting the Aquarium”
Reviewed June 22, 2013

We made a reservation by phone inside the Aquarium while waiting for the 11:00 Kelp feeding after reading that reservations are recommended. Since it's gets booked up this was a wise move we discovered. It is quieter location away from the noisy busyness of the cafeteria with windows across the length of the restaurant giving fantastic views of the bay. The binoculars and identification guides kept our kids (11, 9) busy as we watched the sea otters playing. I'm not sure if they put them on all tables as I noticed a table of adults next to us looking covetously at ours, so ask. The olives and bread they bring to the table were great to take the edge off. The kids meals were large portioned and excellent quality, better than typical kids meals. Husband and I got the fish and chips and fish tacos to share both. Both were excellent and we couldn't finish them. It was so nice to have a relaxing delicious lunch with well trained service because the Aquarium is always mobbed with people and our crew tends to go into sensory overload at a certain point at museums. etc..We left lunch with our batteries recharged and ready to tackle the rest of the exhibits. Prices were more than in the cafeteria but in keeping with what I would expect at a restaurant of this level and it was well worth it.
