The hotel rooms were very old and not very nice. The walls were so thin that you could hear EVERY single word from your neighbors room and the breakfast was not so great. I would not stay there again. I can't complain about the staff though, everyone was nice and doing their job good.
I'm sorry to say this, but this Hotel is a dump. I've stayed at many Hotels in Monterey over the years and I would have to say that this place has to be the worst I've stayed at. The bathroom floor was dirty, the carpet was dirty, the room smelled like bad B.O. and shower ran out of hot water twice. The good thing about the Hotel is that the people working there were nice. The owner of this Hotel needs to clean this place up and get a bigger water heater. I won't be staying here again.
The staff was very friendly. My children really enjoyed the large heated pool. I was very pleased to see that the rooms were spacious, especially for 3 children and 1 adult. It does need some repairs, but for the price, you can't beat it.
This hotel is in dire need of a overhaul, not only was it old but it wasn't clean. My grandson had white socks on and after walking on the floor they were black. The room was not properly serviced after our first nights stay I had to call and ask for kleenex, coffee, wash cloths etc. they were very good at bringing it to us.
The toilet didn't flush properly. I reported this to the front desk and they told me the plumbers were there to fix the problem. I did see the plumbers, but the problem was never resolved. When I told the clerk, he didn't respond.No compensation was offered.
