Good sushi; not the best in the world but great value for money especially when rolls are 50% off. Service was very good.

The sushi here is sweet. Don't come if you don't want americanized sushi. If you have a problem with your meal they'll fix it no problem. I go every week. Always get great service. I would advise not going there on a Friday or Saturday night around mealtime for your first time, due to the fact that you may get a bad impression of visiting them on their busy hours for your first time.

I was in the area, it was lunchtime, sashimi seemed like a good idea.
Very nice looking place inside. Nothing extraordinary, but nice. I ordered the bento box lunch. Maguro sashime (fresh and very tasty), california roll (flavorful), little salad, some edamame (somewhat over done & a little mushy, and tasted like they were cooked in salt water), a little white rice & a cup of miso soup ( somewhat plain but good). The watermellon wedge was a nice after-meal finisher.

Could be dufficult to find (park on the north side of the shopping center and go up the escalators, Yama is just at the top). Tons of parking.

Hands down the worst sushi I've ever had. The rolls are half price because they barely have anything in them. All you can taste is rice. And warm, overcooked rice it is, it was like eating luke-warm sushi rice pudding.*shudders* I'm sorry Robata (Carmel in The Barnyard) I went in because it was convenient -was going to a movie- and the half-price rolls gimmick. Ruined my night..was no way I could sit through a movie knowing that crap was in my stomach. I've had better sushi that was three days old in a grocery store.

my adolescent son didn't like the sushi roll he got but no problem, they took it off the check and he ordered chicken teriyaki instead. Try the Bento combo for a good deal. You get to choose items off the combo list! Only wine and beer, though.
